S4C's Christmas Identity
We collaborated with JM Creative to pitch, design and animate S4C's full Christmas identity – including idents, break bumpers, and a 60' short. We handled design and animation, developing ideas collaboratively and delivering broadcast-ready animation on time and within budget.
Nuwave Films ident
We created this hand-drawn chalkboard-style ident for Nuwave Films to introduce their films. Having previously collaborated with Nuwave on short and broadcast documentaries, we developed this atmospheric sting to reflect their creative journey and the spirit of their storytelling.

Grierson British Documentary Awards sting
We created this 3D ident for the Grierson Trust, the organisation behind the British Documentary Awards, celebrating excellence in documentary filmmaking. Picl’s Lauren Orme is an alumna of Grierson Doc Lab (2013), where she trained with mentors from leading UK production companies and developed her skills in creative documentary storytelling.
Cardiff Animation Festival ident
Stop-motion ident composited and edited by Lauren Orme of Picl Animation for Cardiff Animation Festival, featuring animation by Laura Tofarides and modelmaking by Josh Flynn of SculptDouble.
Wales Arts Review stings
We created two animated stings for Wales Arts Review to establish a distinctive visual identity for their video content. Drawing inspiration from classic editorial illustration, we helped translate the publication’s creative ambition into a bold, elegant animated style that feels timeless.
Whalebone Films ident
We created this ident for Whalebone Films, inspired by the structures and textures found inside bones. Designed to sit over their beautiful footage, the animation reveals the image beneath, reflecting the company’s approach to telling stories that get under the skin of the human experience.

Awards show stings for GCVA
We’ve worked with GCVA over several years to create animated stings for their biannual awards shows. Each set of stings was designed to enhance the show’s energy and brand identity, bringing a cohesive, high-impact look to each event.
Picking Brains podcast sting
The Democracy Box, created by Omidaze, is about young people finding new creative ways to share The Story of our UK Democracy. The Democracy Box works with young people aged 16-26, born or based in Wales, as paid co-creators. Picl's Lauren Orme facilitated workshops with some of the young co-creators to develop animation skills and ideas, and produced this animation for Picking Brains, a podcast created by some of the young people.

Anim18: October ident
We produced this animated sting for Anim18: A Celebration of British Animation, animated by Dani Abram, as a fun spooky intro to October events in the UK-wide programme. The Picl Animation team also supported Anim18 throughout 2018 with animation commissions, programming, marketing and consultancy.
